Why do paid survey companies exist to begin with? Reasonable question, though most people really don’t care to know and are simply interested in making money from them.
So if you are wondering why doesn’t everyone know about this way to make money online, or how I ever came to know about what I consider one of the quickest ways to make easy extra money online, read on and find out.
I was working on a project for one of my clients, a multi-national marketing conglomerate. As I learned their business I came to find out that they were utilizing direct contact with consumers like you and I to gather fresh and relevant market data. That is why this company was (is) one of the best in the marketing industry. Since then many have caught on and followed the same approach.
Instead of spending millions on advertising on TV and radio, they used the money to pay people like you and I for our valuable first-hand opinions about their products and services. This is very smart. There is nothing better than first-hand experience and feedback from the consumer itself.
Fortune 500 companies hire these paid survey companies to go out and conduct market research. To give the best service to their clients (who are the large companies), the paid survey companies pay individuals like us for our feedback. The feedback is used by large companies to introduce new products and services in the marketplace. Sometimes it is used simply to make an improvement to an existing product.
The equation is really simple for these companies. Find out what the consumer wants and then provide it. Everyone wins. They do, we do and the paid survey companies do. That my friend is the reason why paid survey companies exist in a nutshell.
There is a lot more to it, but this summary is enough to get the point across. If you want to read about paid survey companies more and how they work, visit the Easy Extra Money Online Homepage. Make sure you have 15 minutes to spare. It’s a rather lengthy read but really puts things into perspective.
So after having figured out what this company was doing, I tried paid surveys for myself after my project had ended and was pleasantly surprised to see how quick and easy it was to make extra money from this activity.
I told a few close friends about it and as they started making money from the activity, I was rewarded with a pleasant surprise – a larger paycheck from the survey company. This is precisely why I started the Easy Extra Money niche website. I figured there must be so many others looking for just an extra $50, $75 or $100 each month to fill in the gaps.
Over the months that I referred folks to the program, and the more money they made, the more my checks grew as well. The paid surveys companies rewarded me for spreading the word in addition to the money I was already making. You can see some of the payments they have sent me in the Proof section of this blog.
Why would paid survey companies pay someone to spread the word anyway? There is a very big reason for this. Because of the DO NOT CALL Registry and the strict solicitation laws such as the CAN SPAM laws, companies are no longer allowed to directly reach out to consumers without permission and solicit feedback. That is why they use us to spread the word. Thank GOD to these laws, the average individual like us is now in a position to take advantage and make some money from it.
For me it was all about validation. Once comfortable with what they are, how they work and the upside to them, I began recruiting affiliates heavily. With a website, sound search engine optimization and marketing initiatives, my website now runs on autopilot and recruits new survey takers each day.
Taking a simple concept and turning it into a solid income stream by establishing a niche content website has been a personal success story I am very proud of. I’d love to discuss this further and dissect the various components of the process in detail.

Some private emails came in last week requesting a list of paid survey sites that pay instantly upon sign up.
So here is my attempt to summarize the best paid survey sites that PAY INSTANTLY when you either complete an action or refer someone to their program.
Many companies out there will try to trick you into this. They claim they will pay you but they don’t tell you that the people you refer have to first earn X amount of dollars. Well you and I cannot control that. It depends on how motivated your referral is.
There are 7 sites paid survey sites that pay immediately even if your referral leads do not make any money. With some of them however, you have to reach a certain threshold to cash out, which is usually not that difficult if you intend to take a paid survey or two.
Here are those 7:
Why isn’t CashCrate on this list? I thought I said it is my favorite? Well it is. The reason it is not on this list is because you are not compensated to join CashCrate. However, you have the most earning potential with CashCrate.
Why? Because in addition to your own earnings, the company pays you 20% of your referrals earnings, and 10% of their referrals’ earnings. In addition, you have two options when you refer others to the program. You can choose to get paid a buck ($1) for each referral, or three bucks ($3) once your referral reaches $10 in earnings.
I have opted for the later because all my referrals end up earning their first $10 within just days of joining. So why would I accept $1 when I can get $3? You can read my detailed review of CashCrate here.
As I have stated before though, the key to making a significant amount of money with paid survey sites is to sign up and refer as many people as possible to the program. This will boost your account balance faster than simply focusing on completing paid surveys.
Some of the programs above will also you pay you a percentage of what your referrals earn. Those programs are even better since you can earn residual commissions on not only your referrals, but the other paid survey takers that your referrals refer as well.
It’s essentially a pyramid scheme that 9 out of 10 would instantly bad mouth. But I’ve always thought there is nothing wrong with such a scheme, just so long as I am on top of the pyramid 🙂 Unless I have blatantly missed something over the years, I don’t see a detriment to my leads either. They make money, I make money and the company makes money. Let’s hold hands and sing Kum-ba-ya (spelling?)
The percentage structure doesn’t cut into your referral’s earnings at all. If they make $200, they keep all $200. You simply get a bonus from the paid survey company for helping them recruit a quality survey taker.
You can view copies of pay checks I have received from these various companies in the proof section above.

Have you ever wondered about the legitimacy of paid survey companies? Why are they sending you low paying offers? Are you ever going to make the money you hear people (including me) say they make from paid surveys?
Market research is a gigantic industry with billions of dollars poured into it every year. Like any relationship, the folks involved take time getting to know each other.
Paid survey companies are no different. These companies are trying to get a feel for you initially. How? By keeping track of how much you respond to their emails asking you to fill out a survey or do an offer and the information you provide.
It is important to provide consistent information as companies will know when you are dishonest because they track your responses and trend them over time. Remember, these companies are paying you money so they want to make sure they are paying it to only the serious participants.
With the use of sophisticated analytical tools, these paid survey companies know how often you open their emails and complete surveys. When you first start out, you will receive all kinds of low paying surveys.
It’s just a matter of time however before you starting seeing the $10 – $25 surveys come your way. But a lot lies on your shoulders in terms of whether those offers will come your way. Your frequency of survey taking, honesty, consistency in responses, and the information on your profile (that you fill in) makes a big difference on how much you can make per survey.
You might also be getting a lot of sweepstakes offers. That is fine. Keep doing them. Remember, these paid survey companies are testing you. Once they start trusting you they will send you the tastier goodies.
Realize that most people who start out taking surveys don’t stick to them in the long term and therefore never see the good stuff. If I remember correctly, it took me close to 8 months (I think) of doing surveys and referring others before I received my first survey that paid more than $25.
Some of the survey sites that have been around for a while have active forums where survey takers discuss all kinds of things. These are invaluable resources and full of gems. Take some time to explore them. CashCrate has one of the most robust forums with excellent user participation.
There is a ton of free, tried and tested information that can help you. For example, you will come to know about the easiest and highest paying offers. You can also ask questions and get responses from people who have “been there and done that” or are doing it like you.
It’s all right there. Take advantage of everything you can. Long live the Internet!
